Tu B'Shevat Seder
Sisterhood and Men's Club are co-sponsoring a Tu B'Shevat Seder on January 27, 2021, at 7:00PM. Please join us! Instructions on how to prepare for the seder are below.
- Prepare the seven species by which the Land of Israel is praised: figs, dates, pomegranates, olives, grapes, wheat and barley (bread, cake, etc.)
- Prepare nuts with shells and fruits with peels: walnuts, almonds, pecans, pistachios, oranges, grapefruits, melons, bananas, coconuts, pineapples
- Prepare fruits with edible seeds, fruits that are totally edible: figs, grapes, carobs, blueberries, strawberries
- Prepare fruits with inedible seeds or pits: olives, dates, pomegranates, peaches, plums, cherries, nectarines
- Prepare fragrant fruits such as apples, passion fruits and mangos
- Prepare white and red grape juice or wine
- Prepare seeds, soil and a pot for planting
- Prepare to give tzedakah
