Axe-tion Packed Family Fun
Saturday, February 21 @ 7:30 p.m.: Join Men’s Club at Bury the Hatchet in Matawan for a fun and unique family night for all. Adults without children are also welcome. Community Purim Palooza Carnival/Wine Tasting
Sunday, March 1 @ 11:30 a.m.: This event is bringing together four congregations in our community for fun and celebration for this festive holiday. There will be carnival games, crafts, tattoos, hair-braiding, face-painting, inflatables, a glow room, a photo booth, hamantaschen-making, Purim stories, prizes, and much more. Come taste over 100 wines at the Annual Passover Wine Tasting as well. Pizza is available for purchase or can be reserved in advance at the time of registration. Tuesday, March 17 @ 7:00 p.m.:"Sharing Ideas on How to Have a Memorable Seder" This will be a virtual program in which we share what has worked to make our seders exciting and engaging. Some of our members wear sunglasses to commemorate the plague of darkness, others throw marshmallows to remember the hail! Let's learn from each other how to make this year's seder the best one yet!

PJP - Jewish Scolar Series
Thursday, March 19 @ 8:30 p.m.: "Jewish Justification of Diaspora Life" David Kraemer will be our speaker and has served as Professor of Talmud and Rabbinics for many years. He will go over how most Jews have lived in exile from the time of the Babylonian Exile to the present day. Thursday, March 26 @ 7:30 p.m.: Lizzi Meister, the public programs manager at the Museum of the Southern Jewish Experience, will be our tour guide to explore the stories held in these galleries. We will learn how Southern Jews maintained their identity and became a part of the fabric of Southern society. Sunday, April 12 @ 9:30 a.m.: "Financial and Legacy Planning" After a bagel and lox breakfast our guest, Allison Nagelberg, will discuss planning strategies for how to save money when giving to charities. Topics will include how to give gifts from IRAs, donor-advised funds, gifts of appreciated stock, etc. Such strategies will be of benefit not only when supporting EBJC, but also other qualified charities.
