Meet Our Presidents
Meet our Presidents
Jack Goldberg Steve Wohl
JACK GOLDBERG - I am Jack Goldberg and together with my wife, Carol, have lived in East Brunswick since 1983 - we joined EBJC as one of the first items on our agenda, and have been members ever since.
It is a sincere honor to serve as co-president of this great institution. My personal background, similar to many members I have met over the years it that of the journey starting in Brooklyn and ending in East Brunswick. We have raised our three daughters here, of course all three attending EBJC and becoming a Bat Mitzvah here. In almost 40 years as a member I am inspired how our shul has evolved. I am proud that we offer a variety of services, organizations within ranging from Men’s/Sisterhood clubs, a very robust set of youth programs as well as a superb educational facility…and the list goes on.
I am looking forward to help lead this great institution.
STEVE WOHL - My name is Steve Wohl and I am the Co-President of the East Brunswick Jewish Center. Maury and I have been members here for 36 years. During that time we have raised our family, formed friendships, and have tried to give back to the community. East Brunswick Jewish Center is a full service congregation with programs and classes for every interest and age group, from children through senior citizens. From our Kesher and Youth Programs, Men's Club, Sisterhood and EBJC programs, our building is in almost constant use.
Of course, we also have a full schedule of Religious Services, including two concurrent services ever Shabbat morning lead by our Rabbi, Larry Brandspiegel. His Torah insights, his connection to our membership and his wonderful voice have added greatly to our spiritual experience.
As I have said many times, we love having you as a member, but why just be a member, when you can be a participant! Join us, you might even like it!!
