We held our Fun Family event on Wednesday evening Dec 24^th. Over 180 people registered for the children's program, dinner and show. Mike Zig, the magician entertained our kids and their families, featuring amazing magic and laughter. For each trick he invited assistants to the stage. Every child went home with a wand and a toy. It was a magical time for all!

Kosher Chinese dinner followed for more than 150 guests, catered by China Lee. Toni from 24 Karat Caterers supplied drinks and desserts. Thank you, Toni! There was plenty of food to go around. A heartfelt thank you also goes to the committee and the volunteers who helped check guests in and serve, including Mark Foladare,  Ira and Karen Rosen, Dov Pollak, Elise Merkel, Harvey and Jamie Goldschmidt, Liz Salston, and many others.

The evening was topped off with hilarious laughter with comedian Rabbi Bob Alper, who entertained the crowd for nearly 90 minutes. It was a wonderful way to end the night.

.On Sunday, November 23, members of EBJC spent the day touring the Lower East Side of NYC.  We started at the Eldridge Street Synagogue Museum, followed by a walking tour of the neighborhood. We visited   Kehilla Kedosha Janina (the only Romaniote shul in the Western hemisphere). Home to Marty Genee and family growing up. We then proceeded to the Tenement Museum at 97 Orchard Street to visualize what life was likefor Jewish immigrants in the early 1900s.  It was an incredible day to learn about our heritage and be together as a community.
