We strive to create a meaningful and holy Jewish community that holds dear the commandment to be welcoming, that constantly seeks to show how its uniquely traditional approach to Jewish observance is vitally relevant to 21st century American Jewish life.
This welcoming and “relevantly-traditional” view is reflected in our prayer services, learning opportunities, and all programs we offer.  It influences us in how we provide emotional and spiritual support to our members, attend to the needs and interests of members of all ages, our observance of the commandments, our fostering of a deep attachment to Israel, and how we go about seeking support for all our community’s endeavors.  We hope you'll become a part of our efforts!

Casicno Night 2010 Minimize

EBJC Casino Night Hits the Jackpot!

Despite the snow, The East Brunswick Jewish Center held its first ever Casino Night fundraiser on Sat. Feb 6th and it was a huge success! Congregants and community neighbors joined in the festivities. Well over 200 people showed up to support the synagogue in its efforts to help meet their financial commitments. Attendees of the event were treated to an evening of Vegas-style table games such as roulette, blackjack and of course a poker tournament, with professional dealers. In addition to the games, food was catered and music was supplied by DJs. Thousands of dollars of prizes were available for the winners. As a non-profit organization, the synagogue relies heavily on fundraising efforts. The generous efforts of their volunteers and sponsors help make a difference in all their activities. Many community friends as well as synagogue congregants came out in the poor weather to help support the synagogue meet its operating and long-range financial commitments. A Big Thank You goes to Gary Moss and Lauren Altman and all the volunteers and sponsors who made the event fantastic!
