BASKET FOR THE BIMAH
Sisterhood will create one large beautiful basket filled with “food items”, wrapped in cellophane with ribbons and bows to match the color scheme of your simcha.  A note is displayed on the baskets to explain to your guests that this donation has been made in honor of the Bar/Bat Mitzvah child.  You can also order a Bimah basket for ANY occasion that you want to celebrate.
Sisterhood will place the basket on the Bimah on the Thursday or Friday before your simcha and will remove it after Shabbat.  $75 of the $136.00 donation will go to the charity of your choice in your child’s name for the Bar/Bat Mitzvah, or if you are celebrating another simcha, the donation will be in the honoree’s name.  Please contact Lory Pelofsky @ 732-254-6851 to order a basket.

ebjc box top education

1.  Buy your favorite Box Tops products.
2.  Cut out the Box Top from each package.
3.  Send your Box Tops to East Brunswick Jewish Center.

East Brunswick Jewish Center gets cash for every Box Top collected to help buy the things it needs most. All those Box Tops really add up!

CHILDREN OF THE HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL
On our own sanctuary wall, we have a CHILDREN OF THE HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL. The emorial commemorates the million and a half children who were murdered during the Shoah.   We encourage you to become one of the Guardians of one of these children’s memory. It is a tremendously meaningful way to connect to the history of our people, to educate your own children, to preserve the memory of a Jewish life ended far too soon. For further information, please contact Karl Kaplan (
732-254-4528/bunnykarl@msn.com) or Raymond Sasson at the synagogue office.

DO YOU NEED A RIDE/CAN YOU GIVE A RIDE?
EBJC realizes that there are members of the shul who cannot attend various functions or programs because the programs are at night and they have no way to get to the shul.  They either don't drive or do not drive at night.  If you are a member of EBJC and need help with transportation to a shul function or program, please call the office and we will try to arrange transportation for you.
